Got lost in a corn maze, picked out some pumpkins to paint, petted some horses, and basked in the California sun today. Sometimes, that's all you need on a day off; nostalgia and fun.
Enjoy! -MLK

It's that time of year! Fairs and festivals, vineyards changing colors, cooler nights... forever my favorite season. I was asked to photograph the professional wine judging for the Sonoma County Harvest Fair a couple weeks ago; it was a really unique experience that I will never forget. Watching the judges in their white lab coats examine each glass of wine with such care and artistry was inspiring... and made for some great shots!
One of my favorite photoshoots these past couple of months was the dahlia show at the National Heirloom Expo at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Nature never ceases to amaze... the symmetry and color of these perfect flowers is unparalleled. Truly, I think I've discovered my new favorite flower and photography subject. The changing of the seasons provides a new path to changing and healing within ourselves. We should follow the trees and shed the old to make room for the new. Enjoy, and be well. -MLK |
